Essay in Portland Family Magazine

I have an essay, But He’s Not Babysitting, in the November issue of Portland Family Magazine. It’s about life as we know it since my husband became the stay-at-home dad and I went back to work full time. You can check it out on page six here.

Loved the essay, Liz! And great tips for any marriage, regardless of who brings home the bacon. Congrats on having it published!

  2. Liz says:

Thanks, Leah. I agree — hopefully they are good tips for any partnership!

  3. Jesaka says:

Congratulations on publishing your essay, Liz! It’s such a great piece and you give your readers a wonderful, very personal peek into how you & Brad are making this work. We can all learn lessons from this.

Wow, Liz that essay was such a GIFT. It has me all choked up right now. You spoke to so many of the feelings felt by parents with small children and one spouse at home — regardless of which spouse is in that role! Compliments to you and Brad for your thoughtfulness and care. Our approach to our roles has been much more of a “let’s wing it” style. We would probably benefit from spreadsheet or two. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and warmest congrats on the well-deserved publishing!

Thanks, Jesaka and Sunni! It’s true — lessons abound in all relationships, spreadsheets or not.
