Six Words

Thanks to Lisa Romeo, I was introduced to a blog called First Line: Random Writing Exercises. This post, about a short story Hemingway wrote in six words, is right up my alley tonight. It’s the perfect thing to make me feel like I’m doing some writing while also allowing me to get to bed at a decent hour.

Hemingway’s story?

“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

Six words! Talk about flash fiction. (Hey — that right there is six words, I am realizing as I re-read my post.)

My story?

Forgotten, the swing finally stopped moving.

Your six-word story? Please post it in a comment — you might be surprised, this six words thing is fun!
