Like a kid in a candy store

I just re-tweeted something Anne Lamott put up on Twitter about her new book (Help, Thanks, Wow; The Three Essential Prayers), which is due out in November.

She is so amazing and has been an influence in my life through her books and because of her honesty. This is something I love about Twitter — it gave me a little moment of connection with Anne Lamott– not that she wrote back, but it was a way for me to wave my hand and say, “Hey, there! I’m out here. And I think you are the coolest.”

And now, I feel as happy as a kid in a candy store.

    Liz,
I agree, Anne Lamont is the bomb! She makes honest writing seem so effortless.
I think we should invite her to lunch.
